Meadowlark Country Club is a public, 9 hole golf course located on the south side of the city of Melrose, located about 30 miles NW of St. Cloud on Interstate 94. Built in the 1960s, the course was built from the ground up by volunteers and members, and has blossomed into a mature and beautiful golf course. Meadowlark is proud of its history and a wonderful combination of trees, water on several holes, strategically positioned sand traps and soft rolling greens has made this course one of the most playable and enjoyable in central Minnesota.
Challenging to the experienced player, while friendly and forgiving for the beginner, Meadowlark is open to the public and enjoys a membership in excess of 250. The course can be played from 2,591 to 3,227 yards, and offers four sets of tees for all abilities. Meadowlark can provide a less intimidating experience for young players and beginners, with orange tees ranging from 50 to 200 yards per hole, which also allows the course to be played as an executive nine.
Long-time residents and people from the Birch Lakes area accend upon Meadowlark annually as a place to enjoy fine quality golf and to relax and catch up with friends from the past. Many events are scheduled each season, including many local businesses hosting customer outings, benefit tournaments and smaller family gatherings. Popular weekly activities include the Men’s Day on Wednesday, and Ladies’ Night every Tuesday throughout the summer. These long standing traditions are part of the history of Meadowlark, as well as the Monday night 2-man league.
The clubhouse was built in the late 1960s and has been updated several times over the years, and now is a nice gathering spot for many golfers after the round. Food is available daily from our short order grill. Before or after your round, plan to stick around for a beverage and enjoy the beautiful patio on nice days.
